Privacy Policy
How Archive handles your information.
Archive is a site-first AI fashion broker. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.
Summary
We use information you provide to analyze outfits, remember your closet context, generate styling guidance, find products, operate accounts, improve reliability, and protect the Service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Information we collect
- Account information: email address, authentication identifiers, profile details, session state, and related account metadata when you sign in.
- Style and closet information: preferences, budgets, occasions, sizing or fit notes you choose to provide, owned items, wishlist items, reference pieces, saved fits, and related notes.
- Uploaded and generated content: outfit photos, prompts, chat messages, audit results, garment maps, product searches, saved products, and AI-generated responses.
- Product and shopping activity: products shown, product links opened, product search inputs, match labels, and related diagnostics used to keep recommendations credible.
- Device and usage information: browser type, approximate technical location from IP address, pages viewed, timestamps, errors, logs, cookies, local storage, and similar operational data.
- Communications: messages you send us, support requests, feedback, and privacy requests.

- Provide, personalize, maintain, and secure Archive.
- Analyze outfit photos and text prompts.
- Generate style audits, outfit guidance, and product searches.
- Save closet context locally and, where enabled, to your account.
- Authenticate users and maintain sessions.
- Debug errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- Respond to support, legal, safety, and privacy requests.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
AI processing
Archive uses AI models and product-search providers to turn your prompts, images, and closet context into styling guidance and shopping results. Information may be sent to service providers that help us run those features. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated, so you should review recommendations before relying on them or buying anything.
Local storage, cookies, and sessions
Archive uses browser storage and cookies to keep you signed in, remember local closet context, preserve your session, and operate core features. You can clear browser storage or cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may remove local closet data or sign you out.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate Archive, protect the Service, comply with law, or complete actions you request.
- Service providers: hosting, authentication, database, AI model, image processing, search, analytics, observability, and product data providers.
- Retailers and product partners: when you open a product link, the destination retailer or marketplace receives information according to its own policies.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, legal process, security needs, fraud prevention, rights protection, or enforcement of our Terms.
- Business transfers: if Archive is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Product links and affiliate relationships
Some product links may be affiliate links or otherwise help Archive earn compensation. This does not change the price you pay. Retailers are responsible for their own products, pricing, shipping, returns, and privacy practices.
Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and improve safety and reliability. Local closet information may remain in your browser until you delete it or clear local storage.
Your choices and rights
- You can update or delete local closet items in the app.
- You can clear browser cookies and local storage.
- You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export account data.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including the right to know, correct, delete, access, or limit certain uses of personal information.
- We do not knowingly sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To make a privacy request, email privacy@archive.style. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
Children
Archive is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International users
Archive is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Archive changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to provide additional notice.
